The Client

Financial Symmetry, located in Raleigh, is an employee-owned firm that provides financial planning, investment management, and wealth management services for individuals and their families on a fee-only basis.

The Situation

In 2006, this locally-owned firm was growing and adding more partners. As the company matured, the partners wanted to improve their brand and organize their sales efforts.

Historically, the company’s best source of new business came from referrals.  Knowing that, the owners were looking for a way to increase the number and quality of referrals.

But, they didn’t have the staff, time or experience to dedicate to marketing effots.  They needed a marketing partner.  And that’s where FatCat came in….

The Outcome

From the beginning, FatCat Strategies recommended that Financial Symmetry focus the bulk of its marketing efforts on client communication and appreciation.

FatCat also helped the owners develop a process for tracking their sales efforts and prospect follow up.

Since 2006, we have

  • helped maintain a prospect database
  • coordinated regular mailings and emails to clients and prospects
  • coordinated multiple client appreciation events

A big focus of each weekly meeting includes a discussion where the partners share effective messages and useful lessons from recent sales presentations. This helps them qualify leads earlier in the sales process, and use their time more efficiency.

Now, with a clear marketing focus and structured weekly meetings, FSI  enjoys consistent and predictable growth each year.
